End-of-tenancy moves in Slough
Slough rents more than it buys, and a tenancy end date is the one deadline in this business that genuinely does not negotiate. A completion can slip by a week and everybody grumbles. A check-out cannot, because somebody is standing there with an inventory and a camera.
So these jobs are planned backwards from the check-out time, not forwards from when it would be convenient to start.
How a tenancy move is run
The gap is the whole problem
In an ideal world your old tenancy ends on the day the new one starts. In Slough it very often does not, and the gap is where people improvise expensively: a car full of belongings, a friend's garage, two separate van hires.
The cheaper answer is nearly always to move once. We collect everything on the day you must be out, list it, hold it, and deliver when you have the new keys. One handling, one crew, one journey each way.
Shared houses and single rooms
A large share of the rented stock in Chalvey, the town centre and parts of Langley is shared. Moving one room out of a house full of other people's belongings is its own skill: knowing what is yours, not blocking a shared hallway for an hour, and getting down a staircase that was never designed for a double mattress.
Tell us the floor, whether the stairs turn, and whether there is anywhere at all to stop outside. Those three facts determine almost everything about how long it takes.
Protecting the deposit
Most deposit disputes we hear about are not about damage caused in the move. They are about things left behind — a loft nobody checked, a garden chair, bags in a communal hallway — or scuffs on a shared staircase.
So we put protection down in communal areas as a matter of course, and we do a last walk-through with you before we close the van. It takes a few minutes and it has saved more deposits than anything else we do.
Landlords and agents
We also work for landlords and agents directly: clearing a property between tenancies, moving furniture in or out of a part-furnished let, or holding a set of furnishings during a void.
That work runs on the same listed basis as everything else, which matters when the person booking the job is not the person who owns the contents.

Questions about tenancy and room moves
- 01
Can you move on the same day as my check-out?
Usually, and the slot is worth booking early. We plan to be loaded and away with margin before the inspection, not finishing as the agent arrives.
- 02
What if I cannot get into the new place until later?
Then the goods are listed and held, and delivered when you have keys. It is almost always cheaper than the alternatives people improvise, and far less stressful.
- 03
Can you move just my room from a shared house?
Yes — it is one of our commonest jobs here. Tell us the floor and the stair layout when you enquire.
- 04
Do you work for landlords and letting agents?
Yes: void clearances, furniture in and out of part-furnished lets, and holding furnishings between tenancies, all on a listed inventory.
- 05
Will you help me avoid a deposit deduction?
We protect communal areas, we do a final walk-through with you, and we will point out the places things get left. What we cannot do is promise an outcome from somebody else's inspection.
Tell us the deadline
Send the two addresses, roughly what is moving and the date you cannot miss. We read it, ask what the form could not, and come back with a written quote.
